Brave Up Your Business

Leaders, it’s time to create an environment in your company where everyone feels seen and heard and knows they belong.

  • Do you worry about unintentionally saying the wrong thing and causing harm?
  • Are you confused about terms like ‘nonbinary’ and stumble when asked to use they/them pronouns?
  • Do you want to be a better ally and welcome transgender, gender-diverse and marginalized communities into your business, but don’t know where to start?

Learn how to amp up your allyship with a Personalized Coaching Call.

Being an ally to gender-diverse folks isn’t only about being a nice person, this work leads to better employee morale, attracting star talent, driven innovation, broader customer appeal, and sustained business growth.

Being an inconsistent ally because of a lack of knowledge or unconscious bias can lead to a lack of trust in your relationships – personal and professional; it reinforces stereotypes and limits your impact.

This coaching call uses my 7 step framework and creates a private place to explore your beliefs, discover a new way to embrace diversity and have richer and more rewarding relationships.

Your Allyship Starts Here

This is a 90-minute one-on-one coaching Zoom call, and by the end, you will be able to understand gender-diversity and be a brave ally in your personal and professional life.

As a queer parent of transgender children, Tammy Plunkett knows all too well the overwhelming amount of learning that comes with understanding gender diversity. When her first child came out, she messed up pronouns, secretly lived with fear and doubt, and went through a grieving process for the child and future she thought she knew.

Today, Tammy helps other parents, caregivers and organizations that interact with youth and families understand how they can affirm the gender and sexuality-diverse people in their personal and professional lives. The goal is happy children, connected families, and a strengthened community.

Tammy is a certified life coach with a Global DEIB Strategy certificate, the author of the book Beyond Pronouns: The Essential Guide for Parents of Trans Children, and a speaker who began her career as a registered nurse. She volunteered on the board of directors with Airdrie Pride for over five years, where she launched a peer-led support group. Her freelance work has appeared in Today’s Parent and LGBTQ Nation, and she’s appeared on national television on The Doctors, Breakfast Television, The Social and The Marilyn Denis Show.

It is crucial for any business that wants to stay at the forefront of their industry to understand gender diversity.

“More than 12% of U.S. millennials identify as transgender or gender non-conforming, and a majority believe that gender is a spectrum rather than a man/woman binary. Compared to millennials, Gen Z’s views on gender are even more advanced. In the U.S., 56% know someone who uses a gender-neutral pronoun, and 59% believe forms should include options other than “man” and “woman.”” (Harvard Business Review)
