“Tammy provided an informative and updated presentation for cultural and gender inclusivity and sensitivity. She is an engaging speaker, blending an appropriate amount of self-disclosure and audience engagement. She opened the eyes of our team to biases and ways we can be more inclusive. Tammy is skilled at difficult content and delivering it in a way that isn’t shaming, in fact, it is welcoming. I recommend Tammy Plunket for your organization’s cultural and sensitivity training. “
Diversity Equity and Inclusion Strategy
From school boards to extracurricular groups to social services providers to small and medium-sized businesses, we all need to be conscious of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) with both the team and those we serve. You also need to understand the child or the parent and caregiver’s perspective of raising a trans child, I am here to help.
I start with a Gender Welcoming DEIB Assessment to understand how you currently work with gender-diverse youth and their families, we review your organization’s work culture, conduct one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders, and review your current policies.
Then I create a Customized Strategy based on the assessment findings. I will work closely with you to develop a tailored DEIB strategy. This strategy will include specific goals, actionable recommendations, and measurable outcomes. We consider your organizational values, culture, and aspirations to ensure the plan aligns with your unique needs and objectives.

Dare to make your organization a safe space!
According to Business Wire in March 2023:
- 48% of employed adults surveyed said they have helped a loved one live with a mental health challenge in the past year and 80% of caregivers say helping a loved one manage a mental health challenge has impacted their own mental health as a result
- 6-in-10 caregivers say that their work productivity has been impacted
- More than half of surveyed workers have not informed anyone at their company about their caregiving responsibilities
- Three-in-four caregivers wish their employer would offer more benefits focused on mental health
If your employees are caregivers of transgender youth dealing with gender dysphoria or discrimination, you must address their mental health.
Furthermore, according to a new study by The Workforce Institute at UKG which included 3,400 people across 10 countries, 69% of people said their managers had the greatest impact on their mental health, on par with the impact of their partner. And this was more than the impact of their doctor (51%) or therapist (41%). Are your organization’s managers up-to-date on how to affirm transgender families? Consider how much more time people spend with their co-workers compared to their therapists.
“Tammy speaks from the heart in a way that is captivating and engaging. The information is informative and useful, but with her authentic and inspiring storytelling and empathy, she gives us so much more.”
“I was delighted to have Tammy speak at my event. Her talk about the impact her transgender son had on her life was heartfelt and engaging, and you could see the impact it had on the audience immediately. Tammy is a gifted storyteller who will leave a life-changing mark on your audience.”
“Tammy is great at crafting inspiring speeches that inform her audience. She is charming, authentic, and a great teacher.”
